Public Engagement/Communications Associate
Established, award winning fast-growing communications firm seeks a Public Engagement/Communications Associate for a full-time position in White Plains, NY, working with busy project managers on public engagement, public awareness campaigns and projects for federal, state and regional government agencies with a focus on transportation, energy, environment, and safety.
The selected candidate will have exemplary writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills, be able to work independently and on a team, supporting Sr. Project Managers. Candidate must have a solid command of Microsoft Office Suite; strong in social media capabilities, events and workshop planning. Must be self-motivated, ability to multitask and work independently under deadline pressure. Ability to travel to client or public venue locations.
- 1-3 years of relevant public engagement and strategic communications experience
- Excellent writing skills
- Bachelors degree required
- Ability to travel to client or public venue locations
- MS Office
- Knowledge of NEPA, SEQR, Article VII helpful, not required
- Fluent in Spanish desired
- Compensation commensurate with experience
